Our extended degree in economics provides a solid grounding in economics from a broad range of perspectives. You’ll learn economic theory that you can apply to real-world problems and use industry-standard statistics software to build data analysis skills that are valued by employers.
The course has a foundation year, where you will learn the essential concepts to help you succeed in the following years of the degree. You’ll go on to study core subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic history, and quantitative methods, plus a range of specialist areas such as environmental economics, trading and finance.
Our economics graduates progress into related sectors such as finance, banking, and insurance, with some moving into the public sector and government enterprises.
