Overview

Program Overview

The Advanced Manufacturing graduate certificate provides hands-on instruction in safe working, machining skills, machine programming, part inspection and precision measurement. Experiential learning is essential to this program as students practice advanced precision machining skills. This graduate certificate is an excellent option for those currently employed full-time and wanting to further their education. Our course delivery will allow students to remain at work or for International students, time to pursue career other opportunities.

This program is an effective option for students graduating from programs with limited or no hands-on instruction in precision machining and machine programming.

Full Description

The Advanced Manufacturing two-semester graduate certificate program is designed to produce graduates with expertise in advanced manufacturing. Graduates can program, set up and use advanced manufacturing equipment and practice advanced precision machining skills. Students can fabricate and build a progressive stamping die-set using conventional tools and metal-cutting equipment with advanced manufacturing equipment of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) metal-cutting machines. Several courses are experientially based and occur in a machine shop where students practice and master applied skills crucial to this work.

The program is designed for recent graduates in engineering and skilled trades, international professionals and current industry professionals with relevant diploma level certifications wishing to upgrade their skills to remain current with changes in the field.

Flexible Programming

This graduate certificate is an excellent option for individuals currently employed full-time and who wish to further their education by providing flexible learning options so students can remain at work while studying.

Program Learning Outcomes
